Six million people a year walk into Ikea in China with a very clear mission: to get comfortable. Not exactly to shop.
While in the rest of the world people grab a cart, pick out a shelf, and leave in 40 minutes, in China Ikea works more like a spa with price tags. Customers take off their shoes, slip between the display sheets, read the newspaper, chat with their partner, and, if the comforter is good, they simply fall asleep. Another very famous case is that of a woman in the store in Netanya, Israel. Apparently the woman felt sick, vomited on one of the sofas, and fell asleep until the security guard woke her up at closing.
Ikea, the only place where you can go live your whole life without paying a penny in rent.
