“I’m fat and I crushed her by accident.” That was the bizarre explanation given by Sergio Navarro, the man accused of killing his partner, Ada Barrozo Quilo, during an intimate encounter in Argentina.

Although at first it was believed that the woman had died from cardiorespiratory arrest, the autopsy revealed a much more brutal scene: she had nine broken ribs, both lungs punctured, and signs of mechanical asphyxiation.

The family says that Ada was living in a relationship marked by fear and violence, while the Justice system is now investigating the case as a possible aggravated femicide.
