Aging naturally or doing something if you’re no longer comfortable with what you see? 🧐

Eden Sassoon, 53, has just undergone an upper blepharoplasty after feeling that her eyelids were getting heavier. “I woke up, looked in the mirror, and thought: something has to change”, she said. After seeing the result on a friend, she decided to have the surgery and says it was “one of the easiest things” she has ever done. “I’m very happy with the result”.

The decision reopens the debate about how we relate to the passage of time. Sassoon had undergone other procedures before, but says that today she isn’t trying to look younger: “For me, aging isn’t about trying to turn back time”. Her goal, she says, is to feel “strong, healthy, and connected” to herself. And she sums it up this way: “I’m not trying to fix myself. I’m taking care of myself”.

What do you think? Can taking care of yourself also include cosmetic surgery? 💉
