A cow. A Renault 21. And a road in the department of Boyacá, Colombia. That was the combination that left social media speechless on August 28, 2024, when a video posted by the account @NCTNOTICIAS on X showed something that is hard to believe even when seeing it: two people transporting a live cow in the back cabin of a compact car, driving through the Tierranegra area, a rural zone of the municipality of Caldas.
The animal was traveling tied with a rope to a pole located just a few centimeters from its head, completely motionless as the vehicle moved forward. The driver, meanwhile, had the hazard lights on, as if that were the only thing needed to turn that Renault into an improvised livestock transport. The scene, absurd and endearing in equal parts, generated dozens of comments: some laughed, others were outraged, and most were left with the same inevitable question. 🐄
