New York, 1943. In the midst of World War II, a young man stepped into a photo booth at Grand Central Terminal with his constant companion: a German shepherd that never left his side.
There was no need for a special occasion. They sat together, pressed their cheeks together, and even put a pair of glasses on the dog for the middle photo. Three shots, three different expressions, the same lifelong bond.

Eighty years later, those photographs are still circulating, and with them the proof that the bond between a person and their dog needs neither a date nor context to move us. It only needs a camera at hand and the desire to preserve that moment forever.
