Anugrah Arshaka was born in Indonesia with a severe malformation of the skull and face that organizations following his case described as anencephaly. His story became known in 2023, when his family was seeking help to cover the costs of his medical checkups and treatments.
Years later, his story entered a new chapter: in April 2026, the organization that has supported his treatment reported that Arshaka underwent his first surgery, which allowed some of the fluid accumulated in his head to be removed and was successful. The little boy still needs further procedures, but the operation marked an important step forward in his treatment.
