A violent incident occurred at the Homeless Project Scotland shelter on Glassford Street. According to the organization, an “influencer” staying at the House of Gods hotel was trying to film content for his social media while handing out food to the shelter’s users.

After staff refused to allow the filming, the man headbutted a humanitarian worker.

“Our volunteers are here to save lives, not to be attacked,” said Colin McInnes, director of the organization. For now, authorities have only confirmed that it is a 49-year-old man who will have to appear in court at a later date.
