Teodoro Jiménez had spent 25 years standing in front of a taco cart in National City, California, dreaming of something bigger.
One day, Jesús Morales arrived, a young content creator known on TikTok as @juixxe, and bought all the tacos he sold in an hour. Before leaving, he left a $1,000 tip. He recorded everything. The video surpassed one million views, and something stirred in thousands of people who had never tried one of Teodoro’s tacos.
Morales started a GoFundMe fundraiser that ended up raising nearly $48,000. With that money and the boost from his sudden fame, Teodoro bought his own food truck, the same one that now serves tripe, carne asada, head meat tacos, and his specialty, the drunken taco, alongside his children Maday and Josh. “Thank you for blessing me. I feel very blessed, and I also want to bless you”, he said as soon as he was able to talk about it without breaking down.
