On October 7, 2026, a six-word message went viral: “Hey, let me fly you to New York.”.
According to the screenshot, it was sent at 4:01 p.m. by the verified account of OG Anunoby, the Knicks’ small forward. The recipient was reportedly Erika Calabrese, a content creator from Tampa, Florida, with around 850 thousand followers on Instagram.
The two accounts don’t follow each other. In the screenshot, Anunoby’s account shows around 859 thousand followers.
The clip was shared that same night by the sportbimb0 account, which described it as alleged and unconfirmed. Calabrese, for her part, posted a Reel with the screenshot and a question: “Should I let him 👀”.
Within a few hours, the video went from 2.7 million views to nearly 3.7 million on an X post, with around 7 600 likes and close to 700 quotes.
And here’s the curious part. No one has confirmed that the message is real.
The reaction split into two camps, but both sides pointed in the same direction. If the DM is fake, the accusation is that she’s seeking attention. If it’s real, many say the clip is too well-produced to be a leak: her on camera, a lingerie image, the No. 8 jersey in the background. Content, they say, not a confession.
All of this came as a man was riding high. Anunoby helped the Knicks win their first title in 53 years, scored the Game 4-winning tip-in, and even made a cameo on SNL alongside Jalen Brunson.
