Todd Lyons doesn’t wait for Halloween to give his pumpkins a face. 🎃
At his Echo Fields farm in New York, he places special molds around the pumpkins while they are still small. As they grow, the fruit fills the mold until it takes on every detail of the face.
Among his creations are versions inspired by Donald Trump, Chucky, Frankenstein, and King Kong. The process requires constant monitoring and doesn’t always work: Lyons himself says that many pumpkins rot before they are ready.
His videos showing how he removes the molds have become a social media phenomenon, with some posts racking up tens of millions of views. 👀
