A clothes hanger. That was all he needed. 🧥
Some time ago in New Port Richey, Florida, a father placed his 1-year-old daughter in the safety seat of a Chevrolet Tahoe, tossed the keys onto the front seat, and closed the rear door. Problem: the lock engaged and there was no way to get in. The family was already considering breaking the window when a group of inmates repairing the median of a nearby road came over to help. One of them took a hanger and, in a matter of minutes, opened the SUV without damaging anything. The baby was unharmed. 🙌
Sheriff Chris Nocco put it bluntly: it was a unique situation, and those skills — the same ones that were once used for the opposite — saved a girl. The mother now wants to identify the inmates to contribute to their prison commissary accounts. Sometimes someone’s past is exactly what the moment needs. 💪
