A simple comparison of eyes ended up making more than one person look at the photo twice 👀.
Although at first glance they may seem very different, pig and human eyes share several anatomical features. Both have structures such as the cornea, iris, pupil, lens, and retina, and even the size of the eyeball can be relatively similar.
Precisely because of these similarities, pig eyes have been used for years in ophthalmological research to study diseases, procedures, and possible treatments intended for humans.
But on social media, the conversation took a considerably less scientific turn 😂. When seeing both images side by side, many internet users were surprised by the resemblance, and some claimed that the eye on the left inevitably reminded them of someone.
