Maeurn Smiles had a dream long before becoming an adult content creator: she wanted to teach. She grew up in the Philippines facing financial difficulties, and her family couldn’t afford to send her to college. For a while, she worked teaching English, but eventually she found a completely different source of income: OnlyFans.
Now she has decided to use that money to make her dream come true in a different way.

In 2024, Maeurn bought a plot of land in Cebu for 1,75 million Philippine pesos (about 28 thousand dollars) to build a school. Construction on the main project is not yet complete, but in 2025 she opened a small learning center where children from the community can take part in science experiments, cooking activities, and other educational experiences.
She said that she had originally planned to donate the land so the government could build the school there, but changed her plans when she discovered that she wouldn’t be able to name it after her father. So she decided to fund and develop the project herself.

And this is where the debate begins.
Because the money she is using comes from her work on OnlyFans, a platform that generates enormous controversy precisely because of the type of content it sells.
For some, the origin of the money doesn’t change what can be achieved with it: children will have a place to learn. For others, it’s contradictory for profits earned through adult content to end up funding an educational institution.

The question remains open: if the money is used to build a school and help a community, does it really matter how it was earned?
