Janet Jackson was 50 when she became a mother for the first time.
Her only child, Eissa Al Mana, was born on January 3, 2017, in London, as a result of her marriage to Qatari businessman Wissam Al Mana. The couple separated a few months after his birth, but the arrival of the little one marked a turning point in her life.

On Eissa’s third birthday, the singer said it with complete clarity: “God blessed me, at 50, with the greatest gift of all”. Years later, in an interview with the BBC, she described motherhood as “the most beautiful thing” and said: “I love every minute”.
Since his birth, she and her ex-husband have chosen to keep Eissa out of the public eye to protect his childhood and allow him to grow up as normally as possible. After separating, they both focused on co-parenting. And in a conversation with Entertainment Tonight, the star admitted she would have loved to have more children, because she enjoys being a mom so much.
