Erling Haaland has a routine that no one would expect from him 🔥

The Manchester City forward told The Sun that his favorite way to lower his anxiety has nothing to do with football: he cuts wood and lights fires in an annex of his home in England. He says that this simple activity gives him something that not even goals can provide, “peace of mind”.

The habit dates back to long before the Premier League. As a child, Haaland would spend seasons in a family cabin in the mountains of Norway, and it was there that his father, former footballer Alfie Haaland, taught him something he never forgot: firewood “warms” three times, when you cut it, when you carry it, and when you finally burn it 🪵

He revealed this just before the season debut against Porto, after admitting that he is concerned about the physical and mental toll following the 2026 World Cup. The striker, who has already scored three goals in three matches, finds his true rest far from the spotlight, in something as simple as the fire he has always known.
