Aymeric Laporte didn’t hold back.
More than two months have passed since Spain beat Argentina 1-0 in the World Cup final, an ending that culminated in a fight between the two squads.

But the Spanish defender and world champion decided to reopen the wound on former player Mario Suárez’s YouTube channel. There was still one story left to tell.
““It’s an ugly sight to see aggression and anti-football in several matches. That’s not football”,” he said. According to him, Argentina seemed to be allowed more than usual, and another team would not have enjoyed such leniency.

He clarified that he wasn’t talking about the team’s stars and didn’t want to delve deeper into the controversy. It’s not the first time. Before the final, he had already said that Argentina “hands out plenty of rough treatment”.
He was also very surprised by things he saw in the last few matches, although at the time he avoided directly accusing the referees.
