⚽ Paul Scholes held nothing back. The legendary Manchester United midfielder, who shared a dressing room with Cristiano Ronaldo for years, went on the podcast ‘The Good, The Bad & The Football’ and said what many think but few dare to say: CR7, at 41 years old, “is a problem” for Portugal. 🔥

The verdict came after the disappointing 1-1 draw against DR Congo in Houston, where Ronaldo failed to produce a single shot on target. Scholes got straight to the point: he recommended that he play only the final 15 minutes and capped it off with a line that is already going around the world — “at 41 years old, playing as a center forward is simply not right”. And as if that were not enough, he added that Ronaldo will be “very furious” because while he disappeared against Congo, Messi scored a hat-trick against Algeria and tied Klose’s all-time record with 16 World Cup goals. 🐐

Roberto Martínez came out to defend him and ruled out dropping him from the starting XI for the next match against Uzbekistan. But the numbers do not lie: 10 consecutive matches without a goal in major competitions. Is Scholes right, or does he just lack faith in CR7? 👇
