Every time his owner sees him sleeping like this, she has a mini heart attack 😭.
This borzoi has such a unique way of resting that, when he stretches out completely on the grass, it looks as though a road roller had run over him.
And part of the effect has to do with his breed. Borzois are tall, very slender dogs with extremely elongated bodies, long legs, deep chests, and silky fur that spreads out when they lie down. That’s why, when they lie completely on their sides, they can look even flatter and longer than usual.
His owner even joked that she always gets scared when she finds him like that, because he literally looks like a “carpet dog”.
But there’s nothing wrong with him: he’s simply comfortable, relaxed, and taking advantage of the grass to sleep.
What looks like a crime scene to anyone else seems to be a perfectly normal nap for a borzoi 😂.
