Their own lawyers confirmed it in a 28-page court filing submitted in Miami, where the brothers remain in federal custody while the United Kingdom seeks their extradition.
The defense called it playing a role. They needed to appear ultra-rich because that was how they made a living: courses such as Hustlers University, which charged as little as 49.99 dollars a month, and offshore tax-structuring classes costing up to 5,000 dollars, sold to men who dreamed of replicating wealth that never existed.
Meanwhile, Andrew faces charges of rape and sexual assault against four women, while Tristan faces charges of sexual assault, rape, and human trafficking. The same argument that was supposed to convince the judge that they are not billionaires ended up exposing the entire business: a facade built to sell a false dream.
