The expert recounts that at 2 years old, she experienced her first critical incident when she fell into a water tank in Bogotá, Colombia. According to her testimony, at that moment she perceived a blinding light, experienced a disconnection from the physical world, and says that death is not an end, but a transition filled with calm where fear ceases to exist. She also reveals that she saw her own body from the outside before being revived by her mother.

Years later, she went through similar situations after a motorcycle accident at age 25 and during surgery at age 52. The scientist maintains that human identity is not limited solely to the biological organism and seeks to explain her experiences through science.
