According to reports, the young man was detained by mototaxi drivers and tied to a post after being caught. But the scene took an unexpected turn when his mother arrived. Far from defending him, she began hitting him with a belt in front of neighbors and onlookers.
In the footage, the man can be heard tearfully begging her to stop. However, the woman insisted that he had to learn his lesson so he would not steal again. Some applauded the mother’s reaction, while others questioned the public humiliation and the violence used.
