An image with the dates “1954-2026” set an unexpected rumor in motion: Jackie Chan had died. The actor’s black-and-white photo was shared on social media as if it were a posthumous tribute, causing confusion among his fans. But it was false: the star of Rush Hour is alive and 72 years old. 😮❤️

In fact, his last reported public appearance was in July, when he visited a school in Singapore and surprised more than 900 students, even singing with them. And while rumors about his death once again put his name on everyone’s lips, a curious decision the actor made years ago about his enormous fortune also resurfaced. 🎬🥹

Chan, whose fortune has been estimated at around US$400 million, said in 2011 that he did not plan to leave all that money to his son Jaycee. Instead, he said he preferred to donate it to charity and that his son should learn to make his own way and earn his own money. 💰❤️
