If your last image of Jaden Smith is from Karate Kid, you’d probably walk right past him today without recognizing him.
He was just 11 when he played Dre Parker and became one of Hollywood’s most recognizable child stars. Since then, his appearance has changed practically with every stage of his life: he left short hair behind, moved on to dreadlocks, shaved styles, dye jobs, oversized clothes, and looks increasingly far removed from that image.

There was even a period when his extreme thinness caused concern, and his own family spoke publicly about it. Over the years, Jaden regained weight and continued experimenting with an aesthetic that ultimately became a central part of his career.
Fashion stopped being just a way to attract attention. After years of sitting in the front row, starring in campaigns, and challenging the traditional rules of menswear, in 2025 he was named creative director of Christian Louboutin’s men’s line.
Today he is 28, and his before-and-after transformation shows more than just how much he has grown. The boy many still remember from the movies ended up creating such a distinctive image that it’s hard to find traces of that Jaden in his current appearances.
