Someone in the stands pulled out a phone. Then another. And another. Not to watch the match, it was for something else. 😤

The Japan Volleyball Federation had had enough and this weekend made a historic decision: TOTAL BAN on photos, videos, binoculars, and even smart glasses at a beach volleyball tournament.

The last straw was the Hekinan stop, where the players themselves reported malicious shots even after multiple warnings.

The Federation apologized to those who were taking photos without bad intentions, but it was clear: protecting the athletes comes above everything else. And it’s not the first time Japan has fought this battle.

At Paris 2024, its women’s team already competed in special Mizuno uniforms that block infrared cameras so their underwear would not be exposed. 💪
