The scene looked like something from a police movie, but the script was much kinder. 😅
The image was taken in Hawaii, during the 2019 protests to protect the sacred summit of Mauna Kea from the construction of telescopes. The Aquaman actor did take part in the demonstrations, even on the front lines; but the scene with the police was not a real arrest. Local officers supported the peaceful protests and posed with him for a staged photo, more amusing than a police matter.
Momoa was there to support the cause; local officers also supported the peaceful protest. The photo of “arrest” was the little joke of a day with a very serious goal: protecting Mauna Kea. 🚔📸
