Jellybean is a Canadian kitten who, on an ordinary Tuesday, lost his first baby tooth. Nothing unusual for his age: kittens start teething around 3 months and usually finish by 6, when they have all 30 adult teeth ready.
But his owners, the @beanandfrankie account, decided that little tooth deserved a celebration. They kept it, and while Jellybean slept, they left something hidden under his pillow: instead of a coin, a treat specially intended for him.
The video of the kitten discovering his surprise went viral on Instagram, and it is not hard to understand why. It is proof that even the most human rituals can become a gesture of love toward those who do not speak our language, but do feel every bit of affection we give them.
