On September 15, 2026, the Mexican musician announced that he is stepping away from Jesse & Joy after 21 years alongside his sister Joy. The reason wasn’t a problem between them: he said he needs to protect his peace, his emotional health, and his time with his family. In his message, he thanked Joy for letting him accompany her voice throughout this entire journey, which began in 2001, when he composed a melody and she put it to lyrics.
What surprised everyone is that this isn’t a total goodbye: Jesse confirmed that he will fulfill every date of the already-announced tour, including the closing show in London on November 17.
