During HYROX Beijing, Australian athlete Joana Wietrzyk suffered an accident that would have sent anyone off the course: she lost control of her bowels in front of hundreds of people.

But she did not stop, did not slow her pace, and did not look back. She kept pushing through every station as if nothing had happened.

She crossed the finish line with her head held high and her entire body aching, and when they checked the times, the surprise was complete: she finished first, ahead of 152 competitors.
