Her grandmother taught her to sew at 15, and she hasn’t stopped since: today, at 28, this Dallas-based creator has amassed more than 300 transformations and three million followers on Instagram. But there’s one group of characters her fans request again and again: the cartoon moms they grew up with. Marge Simpson, Lois Griffin, Mrs. Incredible, Dexter’s mom — they’ve all passed through her hands.
Juliette is clear about it: she mixes childhood nostalgia with curves and the pleasure of seeing something familiar in a different light. She says many of her followers never thought of those characters that way until she presented them like that. Now they even ask her for increasingly unusual characters, and she already has Ariel’s mom in her sights — she’s just waiting to find herself near the sea so she can do it right.
