Within hours, the clip went viral on TikTok and X. Not because of the crime, but because of his face. Internet users dubbed him “Bandigato” — a blend of bandit and gato, as attractive men are called in Brazil — and his account began gaining thousands of new followers per hour. 😳
He insists that he is not a drug dealer, that he was only there to buy. The Bahia courts did not believe him: two days later, they confirmed his pretrial detention. While he awaits trial, he continues gaining fame for something he did not choose to show.
