The funniest part is how confidently they genuinely thought this could work 😂.
The particular scene took place in a movie theater in Carson, California, when Steve and one of his friends wanted to see Black Panther. Their attempt was recorded on video and quickly began circulating online, especially because of the enormous effort they made to stay in character in front of the ticket booth.
And going unnoticed was quite difficult: with the makeshift costume, the supposed man stood nearly 3,40 meters tall. Even so, they moved along as if everything were perfectly normal while those around them recorded and laughed at the situation.
The cinema manager eventually discovered what they were doing, and their attempt to get a “two-for-one” deal did not work. But the story had a rather unexpected consolation prize: the video went viral and got more than 10 million views in just four days.
They didn’t manage to save the cost of one ticket, but at least they found out what happens when someone tries to apply cartoon logic in real life.
