Kasper Schmeichel went from making saves in Europe’s biggest stadiums to being the taxi driver for his own household.

The 39-year-old Danish goalkeeper brought a two-decade career to a close due to a serious shoulder injury. It all happened in February in the Scottish league.
He admitted he still doesn’t know what to do with all his free time. When asked whether boredom was getting to him, he answered with a single word: “Incredibly”.

“I have three kids. Basically, I’m a full-time Uber driver. It’s a strange transition. I wasn’t prepared for it. Life throws these things at you, and I’m adapting”.
For now, his future remains open, and he hasn’t ruled out becoming a coach. Could the dugout be the only place capable of replacing the adrenaline of the goal?
