Tius Luka Sundberg was 5 years old and had a microphone in front of him when he recorded his voice in 2021. He didn’t know that recording would cross the ocean and reach Katy Perry’s ears. 🎙️
The American singer heard the audio in 2023 and was so impressed that she wrote the lyrics to “Wonder” inspired by that voice. The song ended up on her album “143” — and the little Norwegian boy’s voice was recorded forever at the beginning of the track. Two years later, Tius is now 10 and is the son of Kent Sundberg, a member of the Norwegian band Donkeyboy. Katy Perry brought him to SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles on June 12, 2026 so he could sing with her at the World Cup opening ceremony. In front of tens of thousands of people in the stands and millions watching on a screen, the boy who one day recorded his voice at home stepped onto the most-watched stage of the year. 🌟
His dad had taken him earlier to a Donkeyboy rehearsal just so he could get used to being under the spotlights. But this was another dimension. It was the whole world. 🤍
