Kayne Yamal is only a few years old, but he already knows what a Spain goal at a World Cup means. There he was, in Atlanta, hugging his older brother Lamine, celebrating as if the entire stadium belonged only to the two of them.

Few know the story behind that scene. Lamine Yamal grew up in Mataró, Spain, the son of very young parents who faced serious financial hardship. But from childhood he showed a talent impossible to ignore, and at 7 years old FC Barcelona signed him to its youth academy. Today, at just 17 years old, he earns about 16 million dollars a year from the club alone, not counting sponsorships.

And yet, amid spotlights, cameras, and millions, what still lights up his face the most is his little brother. Kayne is not looking for cameras or titles. He just wants to celebrate goals with his brother, and that, in the middle of so much noise, is the purest thing that can happen at a World Cup 🥹
