Long before he became a Hollywood star, Keanu grew up seeing the world of costume design up close thanks to his mother, Patricia Taylor, who worked as a costume designer. One of her jobs ended up becoming part of Dolly Parton’s history.
Patricia designed the famous bunny costume that Dolly wore for the cover of Playboy in 1978. But the story became even better when that same garment ended up in Keanu’s hands.
The actor recounted that when he was around 16, he decided to wear it for Halloween: “I put on the ears and the bustier. I wore sneakers with fishnet stockings and a bow tie”, he recalled.
Decades later, Keanu shared the anecdote in front of Dolly herself, who confirmed the story. And now there’s only one thing left to lament: that apparently there is no photo of Keanu in that costume 😂.
