Bonnie Tyler died at 75 in a hospital in Faro, Portugal, on a Thursday that was also Bacon’s birthday. The Welsh singer had undergone emergency intestinal surgery in May, had been in a coma and woke up in June, but was unable to recover. 🕯️
Bacon remembered her as ‘one of rock’s greatest voices’ and could not help mentioning that Footloose scene where a tractor and a chicken raced to the rhythm of ‘Holding Out for a Hero’. ‘I couldn’t imagine that race with any other song,’ he said.
