The moment felt almost like a movie: Jackson Casnave, just 12 years old, grabbed the wheel while Darrius Clark pressed the brake to stop the vehicle on a highway with 40 children on board.
At the same time, Kayleigh Clark called 911, while Destiny Cornelius administered asthma medication to Leah and McKenzy Finch alerted school authorities.
The young heroes were later honored at their school for their bravery and quick thinking, and the driver had nothing but praise for them. “I’m grateful for my students. They’re the ones who saved my life and everyone else on that bus,” she said, now fully recovered. 🥹👏🏻
