Rather than choosing between her treatment and the life growing inside her, she did both: she began chemotherapy while still pregnant. She was induced at 36 weeks and, just days after giving birth to her second child, began cancer treatment specifically targeted at her tumor.
Today, Kiersten says she is cancer-free, and she never stops being grateful to the team at the SSM Health St. Joseph Hospital Cancer Center for being there every step of the way. Two lives saved at the same time, in the same battle. 💕
