North is 13 years old and already knows what she wants: the cameras.
Kim Kardashian shared this in an interview with The Sunday Times: her younger children join her when she films her reality show, but they don’t have their own storylines. North, by contrast, is more into it than the others. “I rein her in”, she said. She tells it like a mom who doesn’t want to dim her daughter’s sparkle, but to look after the pace: they try to savor every moment and not accept everything that comes her way, so they can manage it the right way.
And that’s where Kanye West comes in. With him, Kim says, communication is better now, especially when it comes to music: they make sure they’re in agreement and that North only takes part in projects they both approve. She says this as a mother who has already experienced clashes over parenting, such as when Kanye used his daughter’s voice in a song with Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs.
Meanwhile, North isn’t slowing down: she released her debut EP this year, appeared on the cover of Dazed, and already gave her first solo performance.
