Carina Pilar Gottau is 50 years old, and in Bahía Blanca she is known as “La Pili”.
Her method was simple and effective: she contacted men on Facebook, moved the conversation to WhatsApp, and that’s where the exchange of intimate photos began. Once she had the material, she changed her tone. She threatened to send the images to her victims’ workplaces, homes, and contacts. On December 22, 2025, one of them transferred 255,500 Argentine pesos to her so that she would not carry out the threat.
She was arrested in June 2026 at a home on Balboa Street, with at least two complaints already filed against her and several devices seized. She said the money consisted of loans, not extortion. Judge Eugenio Casas compared the messages, times, and amounts with the victims’ accounts and did not believe a word of it: 5 years and 6 months in prison following an abbreviated trial.
