Two women were arrested in Port Charlotte, Florida, accused of taking part in a series of organized thefts at different stores across the state. The investigation began when a Burlington employee alerted authorities about two suspects who were allegedly stealing merchandise. Upon arriving at the scene, officers observed the women loading stolen products, valued at approximately 400 dollars, into a vehicle.

The detainees, from Chile, were identified as 34 year old Carla Stephany Soto Araneda, and 33 year old Genesi Michael Flores Reyes. During the initial inspection, officers found large quantities of clothing in the car with tags from stores such as Marshalls and Ross, as well as tools used to remove anti-theft devices. After obtaining a search warrant for the vehicle, authorities found more than 6,000 dollars in merchandise allegedly stolen from several retail establishments.

According to investigators, the women allegedly stole products with a total value of 6,255 dollars from Burlington, Marshalls, and Ross. During questioning, both confessed their involvement in the incidents.
