Camila Galante recorded the scene from her home in Argentina and uploaded it to her social media without imagining what would come next. Her husband, Leandro Paredes, a midfielder for Boca and the Argentina National Team, held the tub while his youngest son repeated the same request over and over: more, more, more. Every spoonful the footballer brought to his mouth ended in laughter, in a hand gesture asking for the next one without waiting to swallow the previous one.
There were no professional cameras or script. Just an ordinary afternoon in which a dad known on the pitches of Europe and South America became, for a few minutes, the one in charge of making sure the ice cream did not run out. The player’s followers noticed it right away: that kind of tenderness cannot be acted.
