Wladimir Klitschko posted an old photo: him, Hayden Panettiere, and little Kaya on his shoulders. It was all he needed to say how he felt. “She left this world too soon”, wrote the 50-year-old Ukrainian boxer, just two days after Hayden died in Greenville, South Carolina, at 36.
Although their romance had ended in 2018, Klitschko did not hesitate to call her “an important part of my life” and the mother of his 11-year-old daughter. He made a promise to Kaya, who has lived with him in Europe since Hayden gave him full custody: “I will always speak of her mother with respect and make sure she remembers the person she was”.
Hayden had recently said that she feared her daughter would grow up thinking that something she had experienced was her fault. Today, it is Klitschko himself who is making sure that never happens. 🕊️
