Sacha was wearing her harness when someone decided to leave her alone forever.
She was abandoned in Usaquén, with a handwritten note: “My name is Sacha, can you help me, I was left without a family”, with a heart drawn at the end, as if that were enough to ask for forgiveness. It was the night of Sunday, August 30. The terrified little dog would not let anyone approach her and ended up running away before anyone could rescue her.
What followed was a race against time: councilman Andrés Ardila spread the word about the case and asked Protección Animal for help, while the neighbors formed WhatsApp groups to track her down. They found her hours later, near 100th Street and Autopista Norte, and took her for a veterinary examination. Today Sacha is safe in a foster home, waiting for someone to give her what that note cried out for: a family that will not leave her alone again.
