Liberty Barros couldn’t breathe well as a child.
She was born in Leicester, England, in 2007, and as a child she suffered from such bothersome nasal inflammation that it prevented her from playing like the other kids her age. Nothing in her childhood suggested that her body held something extraordinary.
Everything changed at age 10, when she tried to imitate a move she saw in a music video and discovered that she could bend her back completely backward. That’s how the “Liberty Lowdown”, her own chest-to-the-floor bend, was born. With it, she managed 11 repetitions in just 30 seconds and earned a Guinness World Record. Today she has several world titles, millions of followers, and appeared on Britain’s Got Talent with the body that had previously barely let her breathe.
