Lillia Castelane has had vitiligo for years and a routine many people would never imagine: putting on makeup almost every day, with several layers, even to go to the gym.
She is a Brazilian dental surgeon and already has more than 500 thousand followers on social media. A video showing the before and after of her skin surpassed 7 million views, and that’s the part that hooks people: it’s not a quick swipe of foundation, but a long process, layer upon layer, until achieving an even tone.
The comments were divided. Some tell her that her natural skin is already beautiful and that she doesn’t need to cover it, while others insist that vitiligo is art and shouldn’t be covered.
She continues to show the entire process without editing out the debate, and for that very reason, more and more people with vitiligo thank her for making it visible.
