Madonna held nothing back. 📱🔥 At the premiere of her short film Confessions II – The Film at the Tribeca Festival, the Queen of Pop delivered a line that is already making the rounds on social media: “Put your fucking phones away and connect!”. To drive the message home, the nearly 3,000 attendees at Manhattan’s Beacon Theatre had their phones locked in Yondr pouches all night.
Her words struck a nerve. For one side, she is absolutely right: artists give it their all on stage while the audience only thinks about the perfect angle for Instagram. For the other, recording it is part of how music is experienced today, and no one has the right to tell you how to enjoy a ticket you paid for. 🎤
