What seemed like a simple medical consultation ended up becoming one of those cases that baffle even doctors.
A man arrived at the hospital with severe abdominal pain and, after tests were performed, doctors discovered a jar of instant coffee trapped inside his rectum. The scan images showed only the glass container, which led them to think it had no lid, but after surgery it was revealed that the plastic lid was still on.
This happened because plastic has a different density and did not appear clearly in the medical images. The strange object had to be removed through surgery to prevent greater internal damage.
