The video of the discovery surpassed one million views, but what outraged social media was not just the screw, but also the company’s unusual response.
Instead of offering a sincere apology, the company sent three boxes of ice cream to the victims’ home asking them to delete the video. “It was a mockery”, the family said, and they will now take the case to court and to the consumer protection agency. For its part, the company stated that it had launched an investigation to review its safety standards.
