A 65-year-old man named Zhao Xingfu, in China, lived for 47 years with a gigantic tumor on his neck that began to grow when he was 18.
According to what he said publicly, he did not seek medical help out of fear of an operation and because he did not have enough money to pay for treatment, so the mass kept growing until it deformed much of his face and made daily life difficult.
He was finally treated at Xinjiang Medical University Hospital, where a group of surgeons performed a complex operation lasting several hours to remove the tumor, which already weighed several kilos after decades of continuous growth.
